Project Management Certificate Overview
Through the Georgia Tech Project Management Certificate, professionals develop advanced skills in leading projects through to completion on time and within budget. Our distinctive modular format allows participants to master the ten Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) knowledge areas and performance domains through discussions, in-class activities, and graded assessments.
The curriculum is developed and taught by PMPs in the field, providing a strong foundation in the fundamentals of project management, which are illustrated through real-world examples. Topics include management versus leadership, conflict resolution, cross-functional collaboration strategies, and more. This program is designed to help those interested in starting a career in project management, as well as those already working in the field who want to qualify for the next tier of opportunities. Plus, this certificate program fulfills the education requirement to qualify for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification Exam can be used to earn PDUs needed to maintain certification.
To earn the Project Management Certificate, learners must successfully complete Strategic Project Management, Technical Project Management, and Leadership in Project Management. Preparing for the PMP Exam is not part of the certificate but a recommended course for those planning to sit for the PMP exam.
